Title: First neutral feedback, :(
Post by TheFinalDayComes on 11. Jul 2007 at 00:40
I received my first neutral feedback today as a seller.

I sent out a game and then the buyser left neutral feedback saying "fast shipping but the game doesn't work" I test EVERY SINGLE GAME before I mail it out and it worked. I tested it in my toploader. The buyer has a toaster with a new 72 pin connector but still wouldn't work.

The game was Mickey Adventure in Numberland. Anyone got any suggestions. I dont want to lose out on this the game did work. I geuss I should be happy it wasn't a negative

Maybe the buyer has one of those so-called crappy gold, after-market release pin connectors?

I have games that work great on the toploader & my disabled frontloader but takes great pains to work on an unmodded NES.

The buyer didn't even bother to contact you first?

I received a negative once from a seller because I had given him a negative first for selling my game to someone else after I had won it, he even admitted he had sold it by mistake :-)

I have had 3 neutrals and 1 negative in all my years from like 1400 transactions.  You can't help but get a few no matter how hard you try to make them happy.

I am dealing with a lady right now who bought a console from me and can't get it to work cause she can't hook it up.  I have sent her severals emails explaining how to hook up a NES.  On top of that I included the actually console manual that tells you how to do everything.  I have a feeling I will get a neg off it yet >:( Even though the system works and she got it super fast. blah!

If the buyer has a toaster with a new 72 pin connector he either:

a) just opened a brand new toaster from the box and had never used it, OR

b) he tried to install a 72-pin connector himself, and probably did it wrong.

If it is b, (almost certainly), then you are not any more legally responsible than the original company who made the game was.  Games are waranted to work only on unmodified systems.  Anything else voids the warranty and the company (or you, in this case), can take no responsibility for a game not working.

I would just reply something to the effect that "Buyer is using a modded system.  Game plays fine on standard NES."

And then just move on.  You can't please everyone. But I admire you for trying  :)

ya know your right. I like to please all my buyers, I'm an honest person, but I geuss you can't please everyone. I will just send one last e-mail stating about the modded NES and then just let it go.....until the next one  ::)
