Yes, the after market ones really suck...I think because Nintendo has a patent on the 0-Force feedback aspect of their pin connectors, the 3rd party companies are forced to make them with the ninja-grip-can't-even-get-the-damn-game-out connectors.

I've had two of those aftermarket ones, both of them broke.

The other just broke without a reason and the other broke, when i used a cleaning kit on it. Don't remember who i bought those from, but they were from eBay.

Didn't even use them much, just on the games with bad connector pins. The games were all cleaned though, so i'm sure they didn't cause the breakdowns.

The other one still works so and so when it wants to,  the other one just showed different colors on the screen and didn't work at all.
