Hi there. I've been lurking here for a while but this is my first post.

I recently won a strange NES cart on ebay...

I've hunted all over the net and can't find any info on it. I know Zippy Race was released on the famicom but I was under the impression never on the NES. This makes me think that it's just a pirate, especially looking at the label, which in turn makes me think I paid too much! Anyhow, can anyone give me any more information about either the cart or the company that made it?

Yes, it's a pirate. As the title says, it's Video Deon. A good pirate to have because it's a name brand pirate, but the game isn't all that good. I'd put it's worth at $20. (I didn't check what you paid for it.) For whatever reason, NES pirates sell for a lot more than Famicom pirates. Maybe that's 'cause there are tons of Famicom pirates out there.

Ok that's cool, thought as much. Paid around $24 so I'm not too disappointed. Thanks for the info.

Zippy Race itself is pretty fun. I have it on two multicarts, and it usually gets at least one play every time I put them in.

Good stuff, I mainly bought it because of the cool looking label anyway! But if the game is worth a play then that's a bonus!
