Since i'm new to the NES scene i don't have any idea which games are rare and which are common as muck, with the exclusion of Mario/Duck hunt of course, i've already had around 12 copies!!

I think i'm going to go for the PAL-A set first so i'd mainly like to know about the rares from that region, i'll probably end up going for the NTSC games when i finish my PAL-A set though, i'm a bit OCD when it comes to video-games.

Any help would be much appreciated, i like to try and get the rares out of the way first when going for a set ;)

Cheers fellas ;). Wow there's a lot of NES games!!! I've always tried to steer clear from Nintendo when it comes to collecting, those cardboard boxes are a nightmare and i like to have all my collection boxed at the very least. The main problem is i've nearly finished my other 8 bit collection and i'm itching to start another, and i've always really liked the NES so what the hell!!!

To say i haven't really been collecting them though i've amassed quite a few, around 160 NES games, 100ish Gameboy games (including color and GBA), around 150 SNES and about the same for the N64. I'd say about three quarters of them are boxed and other than about 15 of the N64 games i haven't paid more than £1 for any of them, including a complete Secret Of Mana for 50p ;).

I might be asking a few more questions later, i like to know a lot about a systems games before i start buying those massive job lots :)

Right, i've taken your list and modified it to suit my needs leaving a total of 394 games. I'm not too bothered about variations but i have included all the Aus releases since i include them in my other PAL collections.

How accurate are the rarity ratings? If they're accurate there's only around 15 games i should have trouble finding, although i know from my other collections that its not always the rare games that i've had trouble finding in decent condition.

Let the quest begin :).

It should be mostly accurate. I know there are several games that we have recently found that aren't in the list as of yet though.
