I'm having a bit of trouble making boxes for my NES games. I have a few covers I've been redesigning, if you've seen my other posts. Anyway, I'm considering an alternative. I was wondering if these clear cases: http://atariace.com/nintendo/accessories.php/item/249 allow for inserts that way DVD cases do. This would be a lot easier to make. If they don't, does anyone have the proper dimensions for the NES boxes? I attempted to scan one and use it as a template, but it didn't seem to work quite right. If anyone has the dimensions, I could implement them to the template and put the template up here for anyone who wants it. OR is there a NES template online somewhere. Perhaps for the one that Airball was mad for?

Yeah I dont know I wish you luck though. What are you going to print on? I would just find the size of the box and then once you find the perfect match use that as your templete. If you have Paintshop Pro this should work perfect if you photocopied a box.

Those clear clamshells cases do NOT have the out layer like DVD cases to.  They are just a solid piece of plastic that opens up.  You could prob get the new stickers printed on sticker paper and do it that way I suppose.

You could look into getting the larger clamshell cases (i.e. the ones used by most rental stores).  Those do have a plastic cover on the outside where you can slide a printed box cover into.  

Thanks for the input all, I've actually decided to make a brand new NES box design. With new measurements. So far it looks pretty cool. I've managed to make a box set style packaging for the Final Fantasy nes games. I'm going to do the same for the Mario games too. I'll put up templates when they're ready for whoever may be interested.
