Title: A weird find "Mario Invisible"
Post by Xander on 01. Feb 2008 at 20:56
Hello! I've been out of the video game collecting thing for a looong time (some of you might remember a website called Familand that I just to run), but I ran across a weird item today and picked it up. Here are some pics

It plays like regular Mario 1, except the left half of the screen is what is ahead of the right half of the screen. So the right half displays normally, but the left half is what's ahead of it! I seem to remember this type of variation on multicarts in the past.

The case it came in says Mario Invisible on it, with an actual cartridge sticker on the front (on top of the photocopy insert). On the back is an advertisement for Micro-Genius clones, the IQ-501, the famicom style, and the IQ-701, the NES style.

This is for sale by the way, so send me any offers. paypal only though please! Not looking for any trades unless you have arcade boards!

From the shot of the title screen, I'd just say it looks like some sort of weird hack somebody stuck on a cart.  I doubt anyone will know the date it was made, or much else about its origins.

The guys over at famicomworld.com might be able to help you a little more.  Pretty cool little pirate though.

Yah its just a gay hack. I have a few supervision games that have that same hack on it also. Makes it completely irritating to play.

Anything from Micro Gen. is pretty cool in my book though.  It is pretty tough to find Micro Gen stuff CIB as well.

if anyone could hack the rom thats on that cart, you could fix what it looked like in front of you and behind you by fixing the mirror of the game.
