Title: FC Mobile Post by downloader on 04. Aug 2008 at 11:35
Hi dudes!
I was looking for portable NES systems and I noticed this one: http://technabob.com/blog/2008/04/27/fc-mobile-portable-plays-original-nes-carts/ It's stated to play US nes carts, but can anyone confirm that it plays PAL games as well ? If so, I might buy this one for when I want to play my games and my girl is watching a movie or tv show or program. |

Let me know how this works. Always wanted a portable nes.
Is it a NES on a Chip or does it actually clone the NES hardware? |

I have no idea if it;s an On-A-Chip console.....I guess so.
I won't buy unless I have a confirmation that it plays PAL games (I only have 2 or 3 US games) |

theres some mixed comments below the article.
i am pretty amazed that new stuff cloning the nes keeps popping up, has sony cracked down hard on psx cloning and piracy? i just wondered why it wouldnt play both us and pal games? as the carts are the same physically and i dont see why they would put a regional lock out on a clone. screen speed/flicker should be ok because its on a little LCD screen right? looks a bit like a game gear i wonder how well it goes on batteries. |

Considering the poverty of some countries, you can see the reasons why 8-bit gaming survives. It's cheaper to rehash old technology, and therefore, cheaper for the consumer. China is really the biggest market for modern day 8-bit gaming, with companies releasing a series of 8-bit RPGs as recently as two years ago. The Chinese also export these goods to Russia and other countries.

Hii
The fc mobile plays most pal games, but like most clones some games wont play. Also there is a FC mobile 2 now. http://bozz.dk/product_info.php?cPath=60_61&products_id=3707 its pal version, and plays on a EU tv, it inclides wireless zapper and joypads. |
