Title: For Sale:  Russian Driving-Test Simulator Original
Post by Jackalneo on 13. Aug 2008 at 02:54
Not sure of the real name of this thing, but it's basically a Famicom game that quizzes you on Russian driving rules.

I bought this off of Merp / Buddha back in 2004.  The game is by my estimations extremely rare-ass.  Has hand-soldered EPROMS, likely indicating a fairly small production run.

I'm selling this bad-boy off because I need money... badly.

Toss some offers my way.  I only accept Paypal.

Peace.

It's called "Correct Rules of Driving."  I had a copy and sold it to someone.  The game is unplayable unless you know the language, and even then it's not fun or anything.  Travels Across Europe is much better.  Funny that people are interested in it.  When I went to Russia a few years ago no one cared, and now even DreamTR is asking about it.  What the hell?  It's probably still quite common there, by the way, so if you can find a Russian contact you can probably nab one for next to nothing.

I'd never heard of Correct Rules of Driving -- got any more info. I've seen a bit about Travels Across Europe by A. Tchudov. I was a bit uncertain about Tchudov. I try to distinguish between homebrews and something that's got mass production runs. Seems he did, perhaps with BBG. He comes across as being the Russian Hwang Shinwei.

Russia's the hardest market to tap; it'll be tough finding someone willing to pick up some games from there.

Unfortunately, no, I didn't write down any information about it when I had, probably should have.  I vaguely remember the really, really bad title screen and a bit about one of the questions, but it was so terrible I couldn't keep it.
