I just got a NES off ebay but it does not have a normal RF output rather,
a stupid SCART (RGB/Audio) out..

I bought a SCART adapter but i only get sound and a black screen!!!

You must be in Europe aren't you? That is a PAL NES cause none of the NTSC US versions were made like that.

Or maybe he's not in Europe but got a PAL NES. That might explain why its not working -- if it's being used on an NTSC TV.

None of the pal consoles had those outputs either as far as i know.

One country used outputs like that.....I am thinking it was France but I am not 100%. I have seen those outputs on a PAL NES before so I know that is what it is.

Indeed France used scart, you've got a PAL console there.

For sure in France I've always seen RGB output on nes (I've never seen a non french nes)
