A while ago, I was looking at an unreleased NES game list, and it said on the list that there was a Police Academy game by Tengen. Was this really being developed? This would've been one wild and crazy ass game. And with Tengen on board, there's a chance it might've been fun too. Anyone got any info about the game? Any beta screen shots from magazines or anything? Heck, is there a Beta or a prototype ROM?

There is one known proto and the guy refuses to sell it to anyone....

My understanding is that the two distinct Police Academy games were developed by two different people, so I doubt it.

dunno if it's just me but the second game looks more fun

The first one reminds me of Gumshoe for some reason. Be interesting with that style of game play.

Hahah indeed, i have something else. I found the dude with the Maxivison 30 and talk to him on regular base. He is hard to convince also but hey it's a project i guess. :)

I have Nintendo Power back issues with that second screenshot, and always assumed{especially back in the day} that the game saw release{if not in the States, at least in Europe}.

Of course, I also only recently discovered that that Crazyland game also never came out{although it did elsewhere, with those eerie Troll dolls}.

All three of these games would've been great to play., and the first really does have a distinct Gumshoe vibe{as has been said}.

Now if only they'd release the animated series that these are based on onto DVD{maybe if that 8th Police Academy film ever gets fully off the ground}!
