Except nesworld (and martin's dead n64 site)
There is not much love for the n64,so how big is the scene?

I'd say it's pretty much non-existing... there are a few collectors here and there though.

I really think its the price.
If I go to a pawn shop, NES games are less than $5.  SNES are generally $5 to $10, and N64 are $10 and up.   Gaming stores seem to have a similar mentality.  So most people (I think) are still waiting for the price to go down.   I'm referring to complete-set collectors,  as opposed to "collect only the ones I want to play" collectors.

Just my opinion.   I pick up N64 if they are cheap, but I am not pursuing it very diligently.

First i picked up the ones i wanted to play.
Then i started to collect for a complete set (PAL)

And yes,i play them too. I just liked the idea that this set could be completed cib. (nes and snes are near impossible PAL)

There are about 250+ pal games.
And the market isn't destroyed by cash$$
If you wanted to collect for a complete nes set you would have to spend $500 + for a couple of games each.

I already have the rarest n64 pal game snowboardkids 2 and it costed me 200+ euro. (near mint)
Al the other rare games can be picked up for 50 tops.
Thats what i like about n64 collecting its steal fun and cheap.

I have around 50 CIB N64 games :)
Is there anywhere a PAL rarity list available?

I too am a very big fan of the N64 which is why I have set out to (someday) create the most complete N64 list, though it only includes actual production runs, demos and prototype carts will be featured on seperate pages....

Hi guys!

I'm new here, and a big big big fan of lovely N64 :D
I found your site while searching some info about existing prototypes of unreleased N64 games.

I live in Belgium, I'm 27yo, I started playing in 1989 on the NES, and I've been collecting video games for 8 years now!

My favorite console is, of course, the N64, and I completed the PAL fullset last year (242 games, including 3 Australia-only releases) :)
And, considering what I had to pay for some of them and people who bid, there IS a community of N64 collectors ;)
They're just hiding themselves...

Beside that, I own some language variations, nearly 50 US, 100 japanese, and a Hong-Kong version of SM64.

I'm now in the quest of a worldwide all-variations fullset (more than 1300 games listed on my website at the moment : http://www.nintendo64ever.com/All-Nintendo-64-Games.html), and putting my hands on some protos and NFR games, to keep me busy several years ^^

I'm not a board-spammer, but even if you don't see me posting everyday everywhere, be sure I'll come very often to read posts and articles ;)

It's awesome to see that N64 collecting is on the rise, I just wish I had completed my collection before prices started to reach the stars and above...

I have roughly 400 carts now, a mix of European, American and Japanese.

Still missing Doshin 2 for the DD, argh!
