Title: SNES Central / NES World prototype releases Post by Evan on 04. Sep 2010 at 13:10
Martin sent me several SNES prototypes that he dumped. The first one that I made an article of is for Battle Blaze, a mediocre fighting game. The most interesting thing is that this game has a connection to F-Zero.

Hey Martin, I was wondering if you could send me a scan of the PCB board for the Flintstones prototype? I have a hypothesis about why the game runs so slowly, and a scan of the board may help me prove whether or not it is valid.

That's not possible unfortunately, the cart shell is glued

Ah, ok. After discussing the issue with an emulator developer, it sounds like my theory that the game is not mapped properly is not likely to be the case.
Anyways, I should have the article done either tonight or tomorrow. I don't think I will have a ton to say, considering the lack of visual changes. |

Awesome... so all that's left now is Pagemaster? I can't even remember what I dumped :-/

The Pagemaster has an alternate bonus song, which is the World Clear on the Game Boy version.
Also, http://www.flyingomelette.com/epost/epost.html If scrolled down a bit, you can see something else quite fascinating about the prototype version. |

Hahaha... but is that from my prototype though? :-)

There is an alpha prototype of The Pagemaster, which I will also cover when I go through yours, Martin. It appears to have originated during the Newsgroup era.
I finished Tony Meola's Sidekicks Soccer, but Nesworld looked to be down yesterday so I didn't get to post here. |
