I really enjoy Ninja Gaiden. :) I'm sure even those who dislike it can agree that the engine was the epitome of NES controls back in the day, especially Ninja Gaiden III when you could move up and down the walls. I've only completed the first one, which is a shame... I really should conquer the others.
... To add more to my shame, I haven't played the recent-generation(s) remakes, either... |

Ninja Gaiden is great!
I have NG:II and NG:III and am working on NG:II right now. It's definitely my favorite out of the 3. Which do you think is the hardest? ( My opinion is that NG:I was the hardest because of that crazy final boss stage... That has to be one of the most challenging parts to a game, ever. ) Something else I really dig about the NG series for NES is the music and the rad cut sequences. It has some of the most compelling NES art out there and it still charms me today. But shit is it a hard group of games. hah! |

The Ninja Gaiden series is a decent trilogy for the old NES, but very vigorous if even if I say so myself. I could never get past Stage 6-2 in the original, even after clashing Malth with all of my might.
