Title: Dumping prototypes with V64? Post by Branon on 02. Aug 2011 at 12:41
Hello,
Can I dump prototypes with the exact same instructions seen here http://www.nesworld.com/n64-howtodumproms.php using a doctor v64? |

Ehh? the Doctor64 has a built-in dump function, but it refuses to read the header of some (well most of mine), so it can't dump the content.

Oh, oaky. Thanks for the reply. I wanted to dump my Superman 64 prototype for hacking.
Got a gameshark on the way in the mail. Now my only problem is that I'll have to buy an old PC with a parallel port. |

Well it's worth a try if you have a Doctor V64, isn't it? :-)
Superman 64 eh? |

I'll try it out. Got power supplies for my Doctors' on the way as well. Wish it could dump right to an empty disc though. I guess the Z64 was best for dumping.

Well that sucks, it seems to be the best option for dumping games.

it's easy to use for sure and probably the best of the old N64 copiers... if you're looking for a Z64 make sure to get a V2. Version 3 has overheating issues and was made from cheaper parts as far as I know... and V1 comes with only 128mbit RAM.
