Historically, ASCII developed from telegraphic codes, the first trade was with the printer icon on the seven-bit data of Bell services. ASCII work officially began on October 6, 1960, the first meeting of the Subcommittee (ASA) X3.2 ASTM standards. Standard edition first published in 1963. [3] [4] a review in 1967. [5], and last updated in 1986. [6], and as symbols of the telegraph earlier, the proposed Bell code and ASCII commands relevant section, and (the alphabet) lists, and more features to other devices and telex.
