Hi, I'm new in the forum, and I was wondering which ways do protos seekers like you use to find prototypes games. I already did a search on ebay, on google, and it seems very hard to find some prototype or beta games.

so, tips and advices are welcome :)

I think one way people have tried to find them is by looking through old magazines for game reviews, then attempting to contact the author of the review.

On a similar vein, I think someone went through an old Nintendo Power and contacted all the winners of Nintendo World Championships to see if anyone wanted to sell their carts,  and I believe NGD tried contacting a bunch of Nintendo Authorized Repair Centers about getting their old test carts, etc..

The easiest way is to contact a known proto collector.  They may be unwilling to reveal their sources, but they likely have protos they are willing to sell.

Caveat:  I've never found a proto, and I don't consider early evaluation copies of Sudoku to count.

Yeah I agree. I think also a good way is to try to retrace people that have already worked in development of a video game ( that's hard, but if you succeed in finding someone, you could be suprised); internet is a great help for this.

Or go to flea markets but you have to be very very lucky to catch someone having one.

I disagree about the internet being a great help in a way that some people just dont want to be found or bugged about their past...but i guess it works, lol.

I believe you just have to keep your eyes open and/or be very LUCKY when finding a Proto.

If you mean EASY ,i would say ebay.
