Hey all i would like to check out super mario unlimited. But it says you have to patch a smb1 rom . I understand the rom thing, i have a powerpak. But how do i patch it with the download for the game?
Any advise would be appreciated.

download an ips patcher like ... http://www.zophar.net/utilities/patchutil/ips-win.html

and the rest should be pretty easy to figure out :-)

ok i downloaded the patcher, and i patched a smb1 rom. But it was just black when it loaded. Is there a certain rom that needs to be patched? When its patched dose it go somewhere i didnt see? I failed patching 101. :-[

I believe that the patch will alter the input ROM, thus creating the patched ROM.
The problem is, the patch needs to use the proper input ROM.

Whoever created the patch should have provided info on what ROM they were operating on.

That patching roms is something not so easy to do.....
I have been trying to figure out this Terranigma SNES title....suggests to change some of the text in the original pal format to make it english?
For Terranigma (E), with no header, goto $797CC and you should see $89. Change to $A9. It will now run on NTSC systems.

can anyone walk us through that kind of patching?
