During the days of the N64 I was high on RPG
fever. Indian and all of his adventures was blind to me. I did read about the infernal machine, and thought about the part in FFV where you had an optional boss battle. It would probably be Indiana in some cavern and a walking toaster chasing him around the place. Maybe even Metal Gear, but extra shiney. The only other time I thought about Indie was the images from "Nintendo Power" magazines. Of course they talked about that game, just to give it some notice. :P My father however was into it like crazy. Especially being from the Chrstian era crowd. I think he even had all the series at one point. I understand why Indiana was auwsome, and if everybody reading this, remembers where "Tailspin" got it's grove from. You will also remember all the romancing of the stone series. Robo-cop, MadMax, and even Escape from were far more fun to watch then Indiana Jones. He was an all new moderate hero, in a present day world. You can't even tell him apart from the 1980's and 1960's. With Desert Storm at play nobody really cared about that alongside Rambo. |
