Dr. Morbis from DP came by a couple months ago...in his words, he "wants to have his way" with my SMS collection. Even though I only have 20 games, and scoop basically the handful of titles I come across, he was telling me that I already have 7 of the top 10 games for the system (as reached in a general concensus on DP). I was like "...Cool!" Tongue

I thought it was pretty good too, since I just scoop what I find cheap Tongue

All but 3 or 4 games were from local finds, and the rest were traded for on GameTZ. Got Montezuma, Bubble Bobble, Shinobi, and Alex Kidd in one shot Tongue

I'll definitely look into those games...I like the Asterix character, so that one I'll probably be hunting...never heard of the other one though...

Sagaia is a nice shooter. There were actually three Asterix titles released for the system, the first two are the best. Where are you from? It's incredible you found some of those if you're not from Canada. I mean, it could happen, but man, you must have another collector local there if you're in the states because some of those are PAL only, I'm pretty sure they weren't imported to Canada.

Actually, they were. Canada's language laws require that French be written on all packaging materials (this happens to this day...you buy new games, and they come with a French manual shrinkwrapped into the package with bilingual text to cover the backs...I have a few somewhere for DC and XBox). It was easier to bring in European releases than it was to alter US releases, since there's no regional lockout that I can determine. In fact, there's only a few US releases in my collection, and most of those were the ones I got online...forgot I also got My Hero and another one on GameTZ Tongue

All my local finds save for Phantasy Star are European releases.

May 2006 at 04:39 From what I see, there's not that many SMS games around here...take what you find sort of thing. That's probably why you don't see many floating around - because there weren't that many here to begin with. I believe we got the games, but we probably didn't get very many of them.
