I'm pretty good at this!

Hey dudes!
Just repaired and modded my NES.
It wasn't playing a single cart anymore (grey screen).
So I took the whole thing appart and while I was at it (started yesterday) I ran off to the local electronics shop an bought a blue LED.
The blue led mod was easy btw.
But the hard part was getting it to play games again (considering the fact that the 72pins connector needs replacing)
I took off the connector, cleaned the mobo with a q-tip, saw some pins on the connector were out of it's place so I had to get em back in place again.
After about 3 hours of work (a bit longer) the thing was playing all my carts again!
After putting it back together even my (damaged) 260-IN-1 cart plays flawlessly again!

Still gonna grab a 72 pins connector soon and replace it.

Why am I posting this?
well.....I think it rocks having a repaired and modded NES that plays all my games again!!

I rule!!!!!!!! Cheesy  Cool

Awesome, man! I wish I were more handy that way. I haven't had the time to experiment yet.

The reason I repaired it is cause I finally got my golden Link cart (only paided €15 euro's for it complete in box!!).
I wanted to play it 2 days ago and it didn't.
But the shop I bought it in also had a NES and it worked in that NES.
After grabbing the few games I have and noticing my NES didn't play any of em I thought it was time to fully check up on it.
Turned on my laptop and had all pages about replacing and repairing the 72 pins connector opened.
I allready had pin 4 of my lockout-chip disabled so didn;t have to do that.

Well dudes!
Repaired my 2nd NES today.
My new 72pins connector came in by mail today.
Installing it was easy and now it works like a charm!
Even my Double Dragon (which is a pain in the *ss in my other NES) runs perfectly!!
Gonna replace the 72pins connector in the other NES soon Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.
This is gonna be cool.
