Hey dudes!
Just repaired and modded my NES.
It wasn't playing a single cart anymore (grey screen).
So I took the whole thing appart and while I was at it (started yesterday) I ran off to the local electronics shop an bought a blue LED.
The blue led mod was easy btw.
But the hard part was getting it to play games again (considering the fact that the 72pins connector needs replacing)
I took off the connector, cleaned the mobo with a q-tip, saw some pins on the connector were out of it's place so I had to get em back in place again.
After about 3 hours of work (a bit longer) the thing was playing all my carts again!
After putting it back together even my (damaged) 260-IN-1 cart plays flawlessly again!
Still gonna grab a 72 pins connector soon and replace it.
Why am I posting this?
well.....I think it rocks having a repaired and modded NES that plays all my games again!!
I rule!!!!!!!!
