Got myself a new eprom programmer for $13 shipped! A small gamble, but it works great! I've seen one of these sell for $130 on ebay in the past month. If you watch carefully, you can get one for around $50 in good condition.

It will take more time to find than a willem programmer. But for sometimes not much more, it's amazing. No stupid jumpers or switches, power from the wall, 40 pins rather than 36, windows (95-XP) and DOS software downloadable from their site, etc. I just can't say enough good about it! Solid 1/8 inch metal case!
Oh, and if you want to sell an eprom programmer on ebay: don't call it a prom programer and spell programmer the way that people do when they search for it...
