Ultimate Stuntman and MIG-29 are pretty cool, both are made by Codemasters. I'd say Codemasters made the most quality games when it comes to unlicensed titles.

Day of the Tentacle is Maniac Mansion 2. It would be really cool to see a NES version of this. There are some titles i wish had a sequel. I cant really think of many, but i would love to see Mr. Gimmick 2, Ufouria 2 and Punch-Out! 2. Little Nemo 2 would most likely also be enjoyable and i wouldnt say no tnx to Duck Tales 3 Smiley

I also think Codemasters made the best unlicensed games. My favourites are Micro Machines and Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy.

I would like to have seen a Little Samson 2.

I'm torn since I like Tengen since I like NES Pac-Mania so much...the graphics are 8-bit but the music and play control precisely mimic the arcade. Come to think of it, all their ports are pretty faithful...Gauntlet, Super Sprint..

If you go by a completely fabricated, useless "great carts to crap ratio," Codemasters and Tengen are neck in neck...

For originality's sake, CM has the trophy, but it's tough to take something programmed for a cabinet and distill it to work on the NES, while preserving the fun.  They both have equal footing in my mind.

Best nonexistent NES sequel: Deja Vu 2 - Las Vegas....has anyone ported the GB version onto a NES cart? Is it even possible?

There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea is asleep and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, and somewhere else the tea is getting cold. Come on, Ace, we've got work to do.

Don't Legacy of Wizard & Faxanadu go under the Dragonslayer series?  Anyway, I'll be the oddball & say that Super Games makes the best shiz. Grin Forget that licensed crap, get the pirate Lion King.

My favorite unlicensed game?  Tetris - it had it all: 2 Players Versus, Cooperative Play, Versus Computer, Cooperative Play with the Computer, Loginska, Karinka, & Troika, & Ed Logg.

Favorite non-existent titles?

-Golgo 13 III
-Nightshade 2
-Return of the Jedi.
-Snakes in Space
-TMNT 4 [had a weird dream about this]

1. I also think Codemasters made the best games, but I'm a bit biased because I liked a lot of their games on the Amiga back in the day, especially the Dizzy games.  I also think that the MegaSoft games on the 6-in-1 and the Gluk Video releases are pretty decent too, but not quite as a good as Codemasters or Tengen Wink

2.  Ultima Underworld..I know this is more of a prequel than sequel, but a NES port of this would have been awesome.  I would think of non-existant game sequels, but I honestly doubt that any sequels could have beaten its prequel in terms of gameplay, originality, etc.

Wasn't Power Punch II sort of a sequel to Punch-Out?

Ye, you're right, i thought about that game before i wrote P-O 2 Smiley Its not as good as P-O. I wish that P-O 2 would have the same engine as P-O, just with new caracher and possibly a cool storyline Smiley That would be damn cool!

Definately have to agree with codemasters. They were excellent in getting everything they could out of an 8-bit system. They made loads of excellent games for other systems too.

As for sequals? I'd have liked to have seen another chip n dale game!!! Loved the original.

Capcom did make a sequel to Chip n Dale. It was released in 1993 (late). Really cool sequel, try to grab it if you see it Smiley

I like Codemasters most but Colordreams also.

Ufouria deserves a sequal and a third part even, that game so rocks that it needed to be a trilogy.
