permastruct labels
14. Sep 2006 at 21:23

I was wondering, has anyone attempted to create a list of all the "permastruct" NES instructions?

I know they weren't made (and likely not endorsed) by Nintendo or any of the other companies prominent with making stuff for NES,  but I really like those instructions and I think it would be neat to collect a full set.

I think I probably have about 20 of them now.   I suppose I could just email keith loh or stan loh and ask. (and see if they have extras they'd sell me)

Anyways, here some links for people who dont know what I am talking about.

And here is a brief bio of one of the authors (Keith Loh)

And I think Stan Loh must have been who pioneered these:

There are several different kinds of these rental labels.  I own like 5 different kinds.  I have a few hundred of them brand new that I have picked up over the years. I don't have them all listed, but might get to it one of these days.  I think nearly ever game had one made for it though, so it would be tough to get a full set for sure.

I've got a ton of those plastic cases with permastruct instructions on them, as well as a bunch of other types like NGD already said.  I was also thinking of making a list of them sometime, but I don't have much free time right now, so that would have to wait.  If you do start a list, you should post it in here...I can then add missing titles to it when I get the chance.

They are stickers put on the inside of the front of those small plastic cases for NES games that come in various colors.  The front of the sticker, on the inside of the front part of the plastic case, has the instructions on it.  The other side is the side visible on the outside of the plastic case, with the game title on it to make it easier to find it at a rental place (or 7/11 I take it?).

I throw these out al lthe time. They take up too much space for my liking. If someone is actually collecting these I can start to keep them. Just let me know.
