I saw a pretty witty PS3 commerical in my FHM magazine this month.  I will try and scan and post it when I get home from work.  It was pretty good I thought, but I still don't like Sony

lol, acctualy its a grea commercial. When you see it you think "wtf?!". Then you talk to your friends about it, like "have you seen the PS3 commercial?". Here you have mentioned PS3 one time and the word will just spread and spread. In the end "everyone" will know about PS3. It can also backfire tho.

I dunno.  To me its what low budget advertising campaigns have to stoop to.  I have a friend who is a scriptwriter and he and some buddies put together a commercial for late night tv... its just him wearing enormous lobster claws looking at his claws and freaking out and screaming because he can't believe he's Lobster Man.   Same concept - weird and memorable.   That's fine and dandy for late night tv on a budget, but for a major campaign?  Boo.
