When you see some rare game(s) for sale, or whatever for that matter, do you offer a price for it or do you ask what they want? For some reason i feel alittle bad about offering a too low price when i know the seller is a noob so i always ask. I dont know why since its totaly up to the seller to accept it or not. I have no problem putting up an ad saying i want to pay X money for X game, since then the seller have to come to me and offer the game instead.

Just wondering how you guys think about it.

I always offer and never ask.  I usually say something quick and to the point, like this:

I agree with you Burnambill.

Collecting is fun and finding great deals make it more fun. I bought a Dragon Warrior IV at a pawn shop for $1. I get such a great feeling finding something that is worth way more than what I payed.

But like what said before if you make someone an offer they don't have to accept it, so they must be happy with it. You can make low offers...say through ebay and they can laugh at your  offer but if they accept you will be Very happy. Like Burnambills last Ebay find

If everyone paid the right price for everything we'd be a communist society, all working for the same wages since we have equal rights. Sure that high school flunkie can probably get more money doing something other than flipping burgers, but he's happy doing it and happy with that amount of money. It's not wrong for him not to use his full potential.

Pawns buy loose games at as low as 10 cents or a quarter apiece, to them it's 400-1000% turnaround. They're not getting their full potential but finding out the full potential of every item in their store is labor-intensive or requires someone with skilled knowledge and therefore expensive any way you look at it.

Uninformed under-valuing sellers on eBay are no different. Should trees charge for their apples because they sell at market for .59 cents a pound? Trees are happy with irrigated water and a little fertilizer.
