Leaving Games in the NES

Is it a bad thing to leave games in the NES pushed down for very long periods of time?

I figured leaving anything bent for a long ass time would cause harm, but is it significant enough in this situation?

i m no expert but i would imagine leaving the games in would be bad...i mean the pins get bent down even if you take the game out after youre done.

Leaving them in will probly wear your nes out quicker.

Yeah, that's what I thought when using my toaster again.  So now if I ever leave a game in the system, I'd just make sure to pop it up.
