Would it be possible to get this dumped to a cart?
28. Dec 2006 at 20:04

There's this game I love called Ai Senshi Nicol.  It's a Famicom Disk System game by Konami.  Usually I've only been able to play it on a FDS emulator, but recently, I have discovered that some pirate company converted it to NES format and was selling it on cartridges.  I recently found a NES ROM for it.  I do not have nearly enough knowledge to dump it to a cartridge myself, but if anybody else could do it, I would be most grateful, and would pay a fair amount for the service.

HERE IS INFORMATION ABOUT THE GAME
HERE IS THE ROM

Technical Info About The ROM:
PRG ROM:    8 x 16KiB
CHR ROM:   16 x  8KiB
Mapper:  42
Mirroring: Vertical

I can't seem to find any information about Mapper 42 other than its the same mapper that the "Mario Baby" pirate cart used.  So I guess it would be pretty difficult to find a donor cartridge to be used......but it could be found.

If anybody knows how to have this dumped to a cartridge please let me know.

Sorry for going off topic, but what is Mario Baby?!?!!  Smiley

I've been looking for this game since I was 5 years old! I've never seen it or played it, I just remember my neighbor in New Orleans telling me that it was hard. She called it Baby Mario, but I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. I haven't been able to find shit about this game. Can anyone give me more information about it?

I'm not exactly sure myself what Mario Baby is.  I know its a pirate cart and not an official release.  I did a quick search for mapper 42 and I got information about it.  I think this is the game:

Everynes is another good source of random mapper info.  It seems to say that the mario baby and ai senshi nicol are different mappers assigned to the same number (no irq on nicol?).  That pretty much means a mario baby board will not work and there will still be no standard donor board.    It would take a board with some additional chips added on, or a universal flash cart.  I will let you know when mine is done  Smiley

Tested the rom on FCEU and the graphics are messed but the irq breakpoint wasnt hit in the first minute of play so it may not be used.  That would make it more simple to build in real hardware.

Ummm....

"What Is It?

A cartridge version of Bio Miracle; which is an FDS-only game."

That's not it, bro.
