eBay Pulled My Auction...How do I get past this?
08. Jan 2007 at 19:05

I listed a bunch of NES and SNES auctions last night. One of them was a 150 games in 1 cartridge, was for famicom but had the NES connector on it.

Today I got this e-mail-

Dear darts65,

You recently listed the following auction-style listing:

290069734396 - 150 in 1 NES Nintendo Games Cartridge Famicom

The listing was removed because it violated eBay policy. All fees related to this listing have been credited to your account. We also notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has
been canceled.

The sale of unauthorized copies of copyrighted media (including software, video games, music, television programs, ebooks, and photographs) is illegal and not permitted on eBay. "Unauthorized" copies include back-up, pirated, and bootlegged copies.

Video game makers generally release one game per cartridge. For this reason, listings for multiple games on a single cartridge are not allowed on eBay.

Ok I checked ebay before I listed it and some of these sold successfully and there are even some on there now. Anyone know how to get past this garbage? I see gameboy advance multicarts on there all the time. Maybe someone reported me to ebay...? I'm thinking I should try to sell it when I have less stuff for sale. Thoughts?

They don't check every auction, but sometimes they happen across one.  More likely is that someone reported it.  Only way I know is to keep trying to list it, or to conduct a private sale with someone.

Yep, some assholes reported you. I had that happen to me too, and I am almost positive it was someone from this forum.

It happened to me a while ago, it depends on how you list it. If you mock the title up it will slip to their checks (most of the time).
I had it a few times but after refrasing the title i had no probs anymore.

Edit: Corse the are asshats that report and i hate them as much as ya'll do.

I have also had some pulled too Angry  You can keep listing it, but if you get a few warning from ebay they will suspend your account.  I was on my final warning last year but it seems to reset after a year or something cause I just had an auction pulled yesterday.

If I were you I would try to conceal the fact that it IS a pirate, yet at the same time let the consumer looking for that particular product know what he or she is looking at; as they SHOULD know.
