Racermate II question
09. Jan 2007 at 23:26

I posted this on the DP boards to no avail and was wondering if anyone here knew a lot about this guy.

I have the chance to purchase a RacerMate II Challenge cart, dongle, top loader, bike mount, etc. for what I believe to be a pretty fair price ($450). It is almost identical to this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/RaceMate-Computr...QQcmdZViewItem

But it doesn't come with the dog bone controller. There have been numerous threads about the cart alone and where it came from and what a fair price would be for the cart and dongle, but how much would be a fair price for the complete set? Is there any reason why this game does not appear in the rarity guide and how rare is it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is prob the link he means.  The whole package usually brings in over 400-500 bucks nearly every time.  Pro bikers actually still use this stuff, it isn't just a NES toy.  The cart alone brings in about 100 on ebay, but you can find it cheap if you pay attention and look around a bit.  I am watching this auction also and if it stays cheap I may bid.....probably not though.

I'm sure it'll hit the $500 mark, and quite likely more.  I want one, but I can't afford it at this time.  Best of luck to ya Smiley

I'm just wondering,  has anyone ever seen one of these boxed?
I mean, it must have come in a box, right?   If so, I'd be interested in seing the pics.  If its a boring "gym equiment" style box, or something a little nicer.

I've never seen the box but it may have been just plain cartboard, interesting question though. Anyone know or have pics?

I've seen the box, but I can't find the picture anymore. It was a while ago, but IIRC, it's just a plain greyish cardboard box with Racermate on the top in bold red letters.
