Blockbuster World Video Game Championship II
29. Jan 2007 at 16:23

Anyone remember the competion Blockbuster threw back in the 1990s with NBA Jam and Judge Dredd for Sega Genesis?

I remember back than winning my story with a couple million points when I say a couple I mean (2-3million). I do remember calling around some stores and some having final scores above $8million. How was it ever possible to get that much? I know there was 1 part on Judge Dredd that had something for like a million points, but I've looked at the emulated version, high and low and have not found anything to get point totals that high. It's been bothering me for a long time now. Any ideas how it was done and has anyone ever seen a copy to buy on EBay?

I've heard of it and i know few people who own a cart. It's quite hard to obtain and goes for good money.
I never played it but seen vids and screens of it, would be nice to own one some day.

Ya its something I am quite interested in, I've never even seen it on EBay. It would of made a nice store prize though. Win at your store and you win the actual game.

Maybe half a year ago (I'm bad with remembering how long ago things happened) one sold for quite a decent amount on ebay and right after that another one or two popped up but didn't sell.  I think there was a thread on Digital Press so you might want to check for it as from what I remember it was a decent discussion about it.
