Have you tried cleaning your NES? Cleaning the pins? Even pushing them together? This usually works like a jif.  Wink

If other games work fine and your contacts really are clean, there are many possible internal problems that are pretty rare.  Everything from a bad rom to a broken trace.  There isn't much on repair because it's very tedious.  Physically examine the insides to see if anything seems odd.  Use a multimeter to check every trace.  Start replacing parts from a known good game until it works.

If the problem is a blinking nes, the problem will be with or around the CIC.  If the problem is messed up grapics but everything else seems ok, test around the CHR chip.

In my opinion, it's not worth it unless you're talking about something pretty rare.

Taken the words straight from my mouth. And if it's that rare to you, just buy a new one... Wink

Well i opened this up and cleaned the contacts pretty good.Still isnt working... Nothing looks wrong inside except that the contacts are scratched up but i imagine this is fairly normal. How do i test the chips?

I dont know how rare super dodgeball is but they sell on ebay for more than i am willing to pay for a nes game....in the 20-30 dollar range.

I can't get "Alien Syndrome" and "Werewolf" working on my toaster NES. I managed to get Werewolf working for 5 minutes, but then it stopped, and I had to blow in it again, and then all I got was a gray screen everytime I tried to power it up. I even cleaned it with rubbing alcohol, and it still doesn't work! After awhile, I tried it on my top loader to see if it works, but no dice. Not a crappity smacking thing happened. I even tried it on the top loader and blew in it and everything, and nothing happened! Only instead of a gray screen like the top loader, I either got a blue one or a purple one.
