i like zelda 2 the adventure of link for its rpg elements(many consider it a black scheep,but i love it)

the magic of scheherazade is 1 of the best rpg for the nes but most people don't see the magic of the game because of the BIGGER names in the genre

great story and ahead of its time

If you don't now the tittle and you love RPG's ,PICK IT UP

Feb 2007 at 21:59 I like dragon warrior and final fantasy.I dont consider zelda and those type of games to be rpg's but i enjoy them as well.I have only played the first dragon warrior and i guess it is my favorite since it was my first video game rpg.Its got some really bad level grinding though...

I guess its because i used to play D&D and shadowrun.To me a RPG involves lvling,turn based combat, modifiers based on stat scores or items,stat scores.classes or something similar,etc..

Maybe im just picky with the term Grin

Dont get me wrong here bro...I LOVE zelda, it will always be amoung my favorite games.

I love Zelda (how could you not), but it doesn't have the RPG feel to it at all, you are not haveing to level up and select a command to play the game. ~~NGD

That's why Zelda II is considered closer in terms of RPG status:

1. You level up (health, magic, attack power)
2. Movement on the map
3. Not turned-based, but you do get 'bumped' into action scenes Grin

4. I don't know what you mean by modifiers, but Link gains a bunch of spells that modify stuff & learns the up thrust & down thrust

Feb 2007 at 03:51 Modifiers like a strength score that may add a bonus to damage if high .Or an int score that gives more spell cast or makes them stronger...or dexterity that gives an initiative bonus or some such.
