Painted NES

I can't believe nobody else bid on this!  I've seen the seller that charges $120-200 for them, but this is from a different seller, and the design is SWEET and price was right.  I am very happy at the price of $50 shipped  I will install a new pin connector and disable the lockout chip, and this will replace my Top Loader 101 as my primary NES console I use.

What do you think?

I saw that when it popped up on ebay, but wasn't a fan of a few things that he did with it.  Really neat though and one of a kind..if it was something you wanted, congrats!   Smiley

The only thing I don't like is how he didn't paint over the "Nintendo Entertainment System" text.  But that's an easy fix, I'll just paint over that part myself with matching brown.

Come to think of it this should be in "your game finds".  Do you think you could move it possibly?

I'm thinking about doing that with my NES. I've got another front-loader on the way, and I'm probably going to be painting that one. Its only $20, so i'm gonna be playing with the airbrush on it. I think it'll look pretty sweet. I still haven't decided what i'll be doing with it...probably something zelda. anyways, this is def. pretty cool...i'd prefer to do the whole thing myself though

It probably wouldn't be that hard either. Since it's NES, stencil a bunch of squares that will be the same color, then do the next, etc.

I've been thinking of attempting a painted NES for Legend Of Zelda, but probably wont start that project for a while....if ever.  Maybe in the summer when I have time.

I have the top loader, but I think I kinda miss having the first model around my household, which hasn't been in this household for 11 years.
