the Golden Punch-Out!! chips inside the cartridge have Tyson, but the programmers decided to disable him in gameplay - check the chr-rom graphics and you find Tyson

The Frogger is Atari, not Famicom. That might have thrown you off.

Thanks for the info about the Punch-Out, tomspunchout. I have a pic of the board on Famicom World, and the assumption had been, though I hadn't looked, that Tyson was in there somewhere, considering that the gold Punch-Out has both a Famicom and NES chip in it. Strange, since this might be the only Famicom game with an NES chip.
