Why? Because there are certain games that he's reviewed that people have LIKED, and nobody hated those particular games until he reviewed them! For example, nobody thought Simon's Quest sucked until he reviewed it, and then the same thing happened with TMNT and Top Gun. Nobody hated those games either until he reviewed them! Then one of his stupid-ass fanboys tried to defend James saying "The only reason TMNT was a success back then was because it was TMNT.". Yeah, right. That's why it was a big hit, and that's why it's coming soon to the Wii Virtual Console. Not only that, it was in THE WIZARD, and it was one of the games constantly featured in that film. I'm gettin' really pissed with this guy. Hypothetically, if he had said either Pac Man or Galaga sucked, he'd probably get people to agree with him. At least Armake21, who I think is funnier than AVGN, doesn't get everybody on the planet to hate all the games he reviews, even though alot of the games he's reviewed really do suck though. Sorry. I don't mean to spam, I just wanted to blow off steam about something that's bugging the crap out of me.

I just don't understand why people think he is funny. I watched a few of his reviews a while back and thought they were pretty stupid really.  Seems to me that he is trying to hard to be funny and make every game he reviews seem bad.  Does anyone really cuss as much as he does (I do at work, but not at home ) ??

I too have to say, that i hate the fact that people have started hating games that they didn't before he started reviewing them.

Sure, some of those games have their flaws, but they necessarily aren't total crap. Like TMNT, i think it's a very good game, apart from those few hellish jumps etc. they don't manage to ruin the whole game, just make it hellishly difficult in some parts of the game. One of my all time favorite games.

But still, i don't hate the Nerd. I think it's just good that someone is making something like this about the NES in 2007.

You guys are all totally missing the point. The Angry Video Game Nerd is a PARODY. He's every gamer's frustration combined into one being. Armake21 is great, though. Spoony I like, but that E.T. review was just plain out ridiculous. I only like, out of all of them, Armake21 (He's the best one, I think.), AVGN, PlayItBogart, and Spoony. Jedite SUCKS, his voice is soooo damn irritating. I can't listen to it for longer than two minutes without screaming. I can't even understand what the hell he's saying 90% of the time.
