Devo is probably my all time favorite band. I've seen them live once and it was the most amazing stage performance i ever witnessed. for being in their 50's they sure know how to take care of a crowd.

And no, I don't like Whip it.

for anyone who may be into them....

check out the songs:

Jocko Homo
Going Under
Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA

good start off album:
greatest hits
greatest misses
Q: Are we not men? A: We are Devo (first album)

Yeah, against me! rocks it live. Lots of energy. They just seem to be so happy up there on stage. I have seen so many bands live and against me! is near the top for live bands. Choking victim was an amazing band. NOFX is pretty good. AFI anything pre the art of drowning is amazing. Hated the art of drowning (except wesker and 6 to 8) and everything afterwards, though. Op ivy was very, very, very good. Not a fan at all of green day or rancid, though.  Pretty good list, though, overall.

I don't have a 'top favorites.' there are too many to pick from. Just to name a few...

The Beatles
Queen
The Dresden Dolls
Modest Mouse
The Postal Service
Oingo Boingo
They Might Be Giants
Bjork
Nine Inch Nails
Flogging Molly
The Killers
Ayumi Hamasaki
MSI
Tool

After the first two, they aren't in any order. I listen to way more music than that, My 60gb jpod is about 3/4 full with good music. I also listen to classical music, and showtunes on a regular basis.
