It does the very same thing on my top loader.  Have to get a PAL NES to get it work properly.

It might.  The my toaster isn't clipped.  The one I modded a long time ago I sold off to someone.  Worth a shot, only takes a minute to clip it.

Now that is VERY normal for PAL games on NTSC machines.  Some games play fine. Some games are way faster, and some will have graphical glithces.  I remember when I got Super Turrican and it played so damn fast I had to stop playing it, it was starting to make me sick. Lips Sealed

I think World Cup plays better faster. Tongue

Try doing the Minus World trick on SMB.

Hey just adding to the crashing NES. Umm i also had that issue at one point. But i had that happen with my supervision carts. And the nes was Modded. I kept trying and trying and every once in awhile the game would work and the NES wouldnt crash. I would usually get to the title screen then choose a game and then it would crash my NES and the system and light would be off but the power switch was still pushed in. I am assuminig that thats what happening to you.

I know that the NES came with a 9 volt or w/e and i know a couple of the other power supplies will also work on the NES. I got the highest volt power supply to see if it would work on my nes and it did help with the probobility of the NES game working right.
