I bought a house
21. Apr 2007 at 23:32

Just signed the contract this morning.  I close June 15th.  The house is located in Clarence NY, about 5 minutes from Buffalo.  Its about 2 acres of land, and the house is about 900 square feet.  It's small but the land makes up for it.  I have a barn and some sort of mini house in the back.  Apparently the husband of the previous owner shot himself in the barn so I'll have to sprinkle it with some holy water or something.   Pictures can be found here http://www.snysco.com/images/Home/

Congrats.  I am trying to save for a house myself.  Looks like a nice place, especially after you put a little work into it and clean out your barn, lol.  Show us some pics once you do a little work and get your stuff in.  Will look nice after that.  Big congrats man!

Congrats! Small houses are the best...much more cosy -- intimate even -- and you'll save on the heating and cooling costs. Smiley And land...awesome. I never understand how people can live comfortably when they have no yard -- townhouses and all that Levittown BS.

I have indeed thought about that before, but have told myself NO.  I know I would regret it everyday if I sold it.

The only thing I'd be able to afford in SoCal would be a shack. Undecided

Heh, unfortunately no.  Although my friend who shoots low budget horror films was talking to his partner about casting a cop for one of his movies and Reggie V was brought up.  They don't think he'll do it, but it would be kick ass if they could get him.

That's creepy. I wouldn't want to live in a house where a guy had killed himself.

Other than that, It looks nice. A little too 'in the middle of nowhere' for me, but then again I've lived in a busy, crowded city my entire life.
