I have gotten 1 neg myself in all my years on ebay. A guy bought a n64 game from me for a penny, yes .01 and 4.95 shipping. It was a popular title also, Mario Kart I think been a long time ago. He left me a neg cause he said I ripped him off on the price of shipping cause it just costed 1.50 to ship it. I tried to explain that 1. ever seller on ebay charges around 5 bucks or more for 1 game. I asked him if how I was supposed to maky any money at all if I sold it for a penny and sold it for actualy cost, he said that doesn't matter and it left me a neg. I of course neg him backed bastard. Still my only neg to this day. ASSHOLE!!!

My only negative was from some idiot who bought Wheel Of Fortune for NES. It sold for like a dollar, totally wasn't worth the negative. I emailed him telling him I'd gladly refund his money or send him some free games to remove the negative, but he never responded.

It sucks. Just keep emailing him, hopefully he will respond and you'll be able to work something out.

Did you explain to him the cost of driving to the post office?

Seriously, I dropped my shipping down to 2.50 - which is pretty accurate:

-0.50 for the bubble mailer
-1.00 for shipping
-1.00 padding in case I have to ship to Canada Grin

By the way, the post office is within a mile of my house.

There are lots of stuff to consider though. labels, ink, gas, mailers, tape, packing (stryo/bubble wrap) boxes and of course your time to do it. You can ship stuff for 2.50 each, but you have to charge more for your item. When you do that, ebay gets more of your money via there fees. Sale for less, charage a tad more for shipping and in the long run you make a lot more. I have done it both ways and this way is much more cost effective.

Yea I had a negative once. It was for a DVD that I bought off this guy and in the auction he had written..."I only sell quality DVD's ...factoy sealed from US manufacturers..the same you find on store shelves NOT bootlegs!"

Low and behold, i get the DVD and it was printed off of an old bubblejet printer and the DVD was the same thing. I coulda bought it off a guy in the subway for 5 bucks!!
On top of that it didnt even play on my DVD player! It only worked in my computer.

Tried to contact him 2 times but got no response...so i left a negative saying he mis-represented the item and wasnt responding.
He left me a negative saying I was a liar and didnt contact him. crappity smackin jerk.

I contacted him and told him i'd retract the feedback if he did the same so now I still have 100% positve.

I guess you just have to keep pressing him to retract the feedback...let him know that selling on ebay is tough somtimes when you have to deal with alot of transactions and trips to the post office. Mistakes happen, and its obvious you are willing to make it right.

I got 2 negs on ebay. One the guy clicked the wrong button. The comments on the negative feedback actually read something like great seller, fast shipping!!! Like an idiot I message ebay several times to get it changed to a positive which they wouldnt do. By the time I got done messing with them it was too late to withdraw feedback. My other one said the nes system I sold them didn't work.....I tested 10 games on it the day I shipped it and every single one fired up on the first try.

Ouch, I too can share in all the ranting and pain...

I've been on the bay since 1997 and only have 3negs. All 3 from thingy smokers that I bought NES games from that came destroyed. I left one a negative and the other 2 neutrals. All 3 neg bombed me back saying watch out this guy's a complainer. Can't believe that crap. It's to the point where last 2 years I don't leave feedback anymore if I'm unhappy for fear of retaliation NEG BOMBS!! Angry

That's why I only leave positive feedbacks, unless they already left me a feedback.........fear of a retaliatory negative.

I bought a game once and the guy gave me a huge runaround story...how suddenly there was a big crack in the game and it wasn't working (I told him to send it anyway, I wouldn't leave a neg) and then a little while later he stopped responding to my messages so I filed a report. As soon as I did, he responded saying that it was in the mail and to give it some time to reach me. I waited an extra week and a half and then escalated the claim...paypal said that they wouldn't refund my money because the transaction was for less than 25$. I was really annoied so I left him negative feedback. I was then sent some odd email from a company deemed as a 3rd party liason between the two of us to resolve out dispute and it was asking me if I would agree to remove my negative feedback. I wrote like a four page essay, telling how much the guy screwed me around and how rediculous it all was. I wrote my terms and left it at that...later that day I received an e-mail stating that he removed his dispute and I never heard another word from him. He never left me any feedback either. Even though I was never neged for it, I must say that I hate people who are dicks.

Jun 2007 at 04:57 I got a negitive from a out right theif.. they bought a snes from me returned a totally crushed yellowed one with 2 controllers that had been cut in 2. they got a charge back thru their credit card and I got hosed then they left me a neg...i hate ebay more and more everyday
