Can anyone get this damn code to work?  Supposedly it's R L R L A B A B at the title screen but I can't get it to work.

Adventure Island doesn't have a level select.  IIRC, Nintendo Power attached the wrong game to that code many years ago in one of their publications and it has been tripping people up to this day.  The code may be for one of the NES sequels or one of the Gameboy Adventure Islands, but  AI 1 does not have a level select.

Are you sure about this?  There are like three code variations I've seen and I swear that years ago I used it once.  Probably wrong, but it would be good to know.

Iirc i do remember a level skip, 2 skips which take you far in the game. There found in hidden eggs, dunno for sure if it's part 1 or 2 though, anyone know?

Stan, you should ask Parpunk.  He is a huge Adventure Island fan and knows a bunch about them.  He might be able to answer your question.

RLRLABAB level select code from Adventure Island II (this code is written instead of copyright message on some pirate carts), other variation DULRBABA is from Adventure Island III. Wink Adventure Island I definitely haven't any cheat sequences at title screen.
