18. Feb 2008 at 19:57

When i woked at Funcoland a guy came in with a box (fifty+) of nes games, and I told him i could not take this game because it was a pirate cart.  He said " I dont want it any more, so keep it," and that is exactly what i did (I did the trade in, so I had dibs!).  I havent seen one on the internet anywhere.  What do yins think?

Nice, anything free is always a plus.

Personally I've never cared for pirate carts but they seem to get plenty of attention.  If you can list one on ebay without them pulling your auction and suspending your ebay id....they bring pretty good money.  Smiley

I sold most of my pirate carts off on the boards for about $30 each.  Some tend to be more sought after than others though and I haven't the slightest clue which ones.

Oh i completely agree.  I would never go out of my way to start collecting pirated carts.  At the end of the day I'd rather be playing A Boy and His Blob or Kickle Cubicle.

Cool

I have about 50 or so pirates and find them to be pretty cool.  I don't pay over 30 shipped for them though, unless it is one of the 1-2 that I am looking for.  This is one of the most common ones though.

hey nice find, I have a favor to ask!

I used to have this cart and there's a fun puzzle-esque game somewhere on the list marked "MO AY JIN" I believe, can you get there and take a screenshot of the game? I'm trying to identify it and I bet someone on here can do it. thanks!

Hey Xander,
You are indeed correct! Grin  The game you speak of is on this cart, it is number 43, and here are your screen shots.  Hope you win a decent prize from your bet.

Turns out this game is called Moai-Kun by Konami, thanks to some quick detective work by the dudes at www.neo-geo.com, released in japan only.  I now have it in one of my custom arcades!

Thanks again for taking those shots for me!

Moai-Kun is a cool little game.
I also have it on some multis, but I also own the Famicom cart itself(complete).
