NES M82 help
07. Jul 2008 at 15:18

Hi folks @ nesworld,

A couple of months ago, i bought a PAL NES M82 system, it works perfect, but something is missing i think.
The numbers and text at the front window (the marquee) are missing, now is my question: are there more m82's without the numbers, and is it possible to get a new window (marquee) with the numbers?
here a picture of my m82.

thx in advance

I can't see the picture Huh

But i think i now what where talking about here.
Because im a proud owner of a m82 myself.

First question are you Dutch/nederlands? And where did you got it?
Why i ask this?

Because a m82 without marquee was sold on marktplaats(dutch ebay )for 300 euro i believe  Roll Eyesabout 2 years ago.
And was resold some time ago by a member of the dutch nes site www.palrocks.nl

Im pretty sure where talking about the same system here,or its a real accidental Grincase

The old buyer knew the marquee was missing from the system/broken Cry sadly

So no,this is not normal.
And the seller didn't told you Huh

dont be sad though its still a real rare and cool thing to own! Some of the big collectors dont even have 1.

Maybe you can have a replica made by a glass company ,some internet sites make custum glass lamps and stuff ,try your luck there

thx for the fast reply,

yes i am nederlands (had niet verwacht dat hier nederlanders zouden zijn:p)

i think its probably the same m82 your talking about, so the original marquee is made of glass, didnt know that, the replacement marquee i got is made of plastic, it crossed my mind also to replicate the marquee, but i dont know the correct measurements and the lettertype  of the marquee, is it possible for u to scan your original marquee, so that i can take the scan to a company to replicate it?
thanks Wink

here the picture of my M82 ...

It's still a nice unit! You can look on the internet for a donor but it will be hard to find and expensive. If i where you i would make a new one your self. It cant be hard if you have some good pictures .

Yeah, that was probably mine. : )

I'm looking for an NTSC unit instead now. If anyone knows of someone getting rid of one, please point me in their direction.  Wink

I will, although I've never seen one go for over 900. I lost out on one that went for about 470 a couple months back, because I wasn't home and was outbid at the last minute. Sad
