Broken NES

Hey there, I've had a problem with my Nes and I'm not sure where to turn at this point. I was playing Shadowgate earlier this afternoon, and at some point left to go take care of some laundry, leaving the nes on. When I got back after about 30 minutes, the game was still on but the picture was glitching like hell. I tried turning it off, pulling it in and out, and all the other standard ways of going about this. I tried the rest of my games, and got similar results. When I turned it on without any cartridge, it still had various flickering lines/blocks and etc. So far I've tried taking it apart, checking the pin connector (which is only about two months old), and using two different AC adapters, both rf and av cables, etc. Still no dice. Does anyone have any possible ideas of going about fixing this? Has this happened to anyone else? Is there any chance it can be helped? I'd really appreciate any response.

I should also mention that while it was taken apart, i tried powering it on with the pin connector removed and got the same exact sort of flickering.

A mate of mine actually had this issue way, way back in the day. He sent the console back to Nintendo for repair and they said it was basically fried and provided another. Not much help Sad
