All but Skate or Die got sold off by my older brother around when he got a Genesis for christmas '92. And Skate or Die, my friend that still had an NES borrowed it from me.......and sold it off when he sold the rest of his games to get a SNES. The only thing I haven't re-bought yet is Tengen Tetris.

After i saw this commercial on German tv (watching cartoons)
Wanted 1 and got a dutch version with smb/duckhunt.
I rather had the German version but its ok,i got smb 1

I was so thrilled.

Most other games i got from birthdays/holidays etc.
Still know when i got them etc.

The never got sold or traded in because im a pack rat Grin

For me, it was quite different. Back in the 90's some of my friends had the NES and I really enjoyed playing the games at their place (Mega Man for example). In 2003 I decided to buy a NES for myself so that we could play the good games again (my friends didn't have their NES anymore for some reason). Fortunately a girl from my class had a perfect working, new looking NES so I bought it and I'm still using that NES today without any problems.

I was born in 1988 so my NES era began relatively late..

My games:
Super Mario Bros., Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mega Man 2, Galaxy 5000, Ski or Die, Shadowgate, Duck Tales 1+2, Double Dragon and soon Pinball Quest.

yeah got all my original gear.
got my new for a birthday in '94 and bought a lot of the games cheap cos nintendo was trying to clear the shelves for all the SNES stock from that point on - well untill N64.
got it so late cos my parents werent keen on the idea of me playing it all the time, i originally wanted a gameboy but the nes was so cheap i bought it and it was my only game system for about 5 years.

cant say ive ever really sold or traded any of my collection tried to sell my megadrive stuff once to get an n64 but kept it cos the money offered was penuts, swapped a few sega games i finished but thats it

I lost most of my oldest NES games (and so did one of my friends at the same time) in a terrible burglary event when I was a kid. That left me with Duck Hunt and Dragon Warrior. Others I got after that, I don't know what happened to. However I do have the same Castlevania 3 cartridge, it was with a set of games I traded away for a Gameboy. By chance I ran into that old friend many years later and borrowed it from him, but lost contact again.

But even older than that, I still have my original Colecovision carts of Donkey Kong and Ladybug. I've held on to those for maybe 23 years by now.
