Need Help Finding an old NES game name
18. Oct 2009 at 08:39

I remember a game, an old NES game, that I played somewhere in the vicinity of 1986-1989 that was a forced up-ward scrolling RPG-ish adventure game. Basically while walking forward you were traveling UP the screen, or you could say the landscape was moving DOWN towards you, but it moved at a set pace and you had to keep up with destroying things in your path or else you would get trapped at the bottom of the screen and die/lose a life. I kind of remember some secret doors that would be found if you destroyed the "things" that were hiding the door(sorry, can't remember what the main destroyable stuff was, probably rocks or magic lumps Smiley or something....). It had some fantasy elements to it, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. I was 4 or 5 at the time and this was barely on the periphery of my memorable early child-hood video game experiences. I'm pretty sure it came out before Faxanadu, because I remember that game's name and remember playing it more vividly.
Please help an old NES fan find the missing game! It's driving me crazy Smiley

You're probably thinking of "King's Knight"

It's a vertically scrolling shooter with a fantasy theme.

It is apparently available for the Wii virtual console.

Phew, you were right, thanks! I actually found a video of someone playing it on youtube. Now I can sleep at night.
