Good Famicom (not disk) Exclusive Games?
03. Aug 2011 at 23:37

So... I just wanted to talk about many of the Famicom cartridge games that were exclusive to Japan that really should've been ported over... because they're amazing.  Roll Eyes I'm always interested in finding these games, but sometimes it becomes difficult. For some odd reason, finding GOOD Super Famicom-exclusive games is a lot easier than finding GOOD Famicom-exclusive games. It's always fun playing games that nearly nobody knows about. It adds to the charm, not to mention the bragging rights.

I'd like to start out by mentioning Holy Diver. Easily the hardest game I've ever played... It feels like a cross between Mega Man and Castlevania, yet harder than Battle Toads. It also has this ludicrous Heavy Metal-inspired story featuring Dio, Ozzy, Wylde, and Rhoads.

Anyone else have any to mention? Please do!!

I have a few to mention:

Binary Land
Wizardry III: Story of Llylgamyn (it has an option to turn all the text into English!)
Joy Mech Fight
Gimmick! (was released in Europe too as Mr Gimmick)
Yume Penguin Monogatari
Antarctic Adventure
Gradius 2
Crysis Force
Dai Meiro

I too find it difficult to find information on good Famicom games without an NA equivalent.

Their are alot of good games, but most are culturally, blocked.
Go out their and search for yourself.
