Silver Surfer for NES
20. Jul 2012 at 02:48

I just got finished playing Silver Surfer for NES.  Not to repeat what James Rolfe has already conveyed, but my god, that game is impossible.  I played Fire Lord’s stage for over an hour and I couldn’t even reach Section 3.  There are three sections, and I reached the end of Section 2 with the  re-spawning jack-o-lanterns.  With some more practice, I think I can get it.  I'll give it another shot tomorrow.

It’s actually not a bad game, aside from the insane difficulty.  The music is pretty good, and the levels are well-designed.  I had fun learning all of the enemy patterns and mastering the level, but it’s crazy to think that I couldn’t even reach the boss battle!   I feel so inadequate now.

This has gotta be the hardest game on the NES.  It makes me want to go play Double Dragon III or Ghosts n Goblins.   Or maybe Mega Man 1.

What do you guys think is the hardest NES game?

Also, speaking of James Rolfe...I think he should review the game Dirty Harry for NES.  Have you guys ever played that game?  It’s pretty bad.
