Well, I believe it was a NES game, and I used to play it a lot back in the 90's, and there's a few things I remmember about it:
>It was a 2D platform game, walk kill monsters and keep walking forward;
>I think the main character worn a hood, and mage like clothes;
>The theme was magic/monsters/fantasy;
>Important detail: Whenever you killed a monster, 2 to 3 items (square shaped with the item symbol inside, just like Sonic power-up boxes) would appear, they went up then down, in a "fireworks" kind of motion;
>As the game progressed, the character would gain new skills and moves. In one of these moves, the character spins at a high speed, and it looked like a spinning star;
>There were bosses, big bosses at almost every level.
>As for the name, maybe it contained "Witch" or "wizard" (don't take this detail too serious, I'm not even 10% sure about it)
Thanks in advance to anyone who tries to help. I've never finished this game, it was too hard, and I really want to try it out now, 15 years later.
