Announced late 1998, Midway would be beinging the Atari Games' arcade game War: Final Assault to the N64. A 3D first person shooter which would (of course) blow away all competition. But only months into development, May 1999, IGN wrote that the development team had disbanded. It was said that the game supposedly wasn't going to be published by Midway themselves and even though the game would be offered on multiple platforms, including the PS2, there were no interest in publishing the game.

The Nintendo 64 incarnation of the game was supposedly going to include exclusive levels, new weapons and a four-player mode. Planned for release November 1999.
